At the airport, you will be met by our guide with a sign “Partner Travel Armenia”. After checking into a hotel in Yerevan, there will be an excursion around the capital. We will walk along the center, we will see the Cascade and the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, the Opera building, then a tour through the old districts, and in the evening, we will have a walk to the Republic Square, where we can witness the “singing fountains”. A welcome dinner will be organized in a traditional restaurant in the eastern style, where Armenian cuisine will prevail.
In the morning we will visit the Geghard monastery complex, included in the UNESCO list, where the ancient church carved into the rock is located. After we will take part in a master class in baking lavash, taste it and the Armenian gata. We will continue our hike in the direction of the village of Garni, through the gorge of the river Azat, walk through the gardens, and walk along the large reservoirs where they grow various kinds of fish. Having reached the village of Garni, we will also see the famous natural monument "Symphony of Stones" - huge basalt hexagons. We will visit the only preserved pagan temple in Armenia and visit the old Roman baths. Then we will go to the cave of grandfather Levon. We will spend this day in one of the forest regions of Armenia - in Tavush. But before that we will visit Lake Sevan, which is the highest-altitude freshwater lake of the Armenian Highland. From there we will get on a boat and go to the Sevan Peninsula. Afterwards we will go to Dilijan, walk along the streets of the old city, and then we will go to Dilijan National Park, where we will see deer and go down to the coast of Parz Lake (Transparent Lake), hidden in the thick green forests. There we can go rowing on a boat, try rock-climbing on a rope park, enjoy the rest against the background of unique nature and breathe the purest forest air. Further, along the beautiful forest path we will go to the wonderful village of Fioletovo, where the Molokans live. It offers a beautiful landscape of forest mountains. We will get acquainted with life and traditions of the Molokans, enjoy fragrant tea and real country food. Today we will go to the foot of the highest mountain in Armenia, Aragats. Prior to this, we will visit a monument to the Armenian alphabet near the mountain. We will walk up to the Stone lake (Kari Lich). It is located at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level and is always cold. From here we will descend into one of the most impregnable and well-preserved Armenian fortresses of the Middle Ages - Amberd. Afterwards we will arrive in the city of Ashtarak, where we will visit a chocolate factory. We will see how real Armenian chocolate is made and, of course, we will try different types of this delicacy. The day will begin with an excursion into the historical period of 4,200–3,500 years BC. We will visit the 17th century fortress-monastery - Khor Virap, which is one of the most energetically strong places in Armenia. This place was visited by the Pope when he was on a visit to Armenia. Khor Virap is famous for its deep and large cells that existed long before the monastery was built, where Grigor Lusavorich (Grigoriy the Illuminator) spent 14 years in prison. From here, you can see the biblical Ararat at a very close distance. On the way through the vineyards, we will go to the province of Vayots Dzor, to the famous cradle of winemaking - the village of Areni. We will enter the world famous Bird Cave, where archaeologists have found grape seeds, wine jugs, human bones and the oldest shoes in the world. For dinner, we are awaited by Armenian dishes prepared according to all the traditions of our ancestors. We will also visit the winery and taste different wines, see the winemaking process. Next, we will go to one of the most prominent fortresses of Armenia, built in the 5th century by Armenian princes. From here, there is a stunning view of the mountains and the Yeghegis gorge, where we will see bezoar goats. This day is the day of fish and beer. We will visit the famous Dargett factory, here we will be presented with a wide selection of beer, and then we will go to Lake Sevan, where our captain will already be waiting for us. We will take a ride on the lake, enjoy the beauty of the nature of this corner, get to the other side of the lake, where we will cook shish kebab from fish caught in Sevan. Then we will walk through the Sevan National Park. On this day, we will meet one of the villages. The locals will host us in their homes, tell us how their day goes, what they do and what crafts have survived to this date. Also on the way to the village, it will be possible to have a horseback riding in the newly opened stable.
