Any tour to Armenia can already be called gastronomic, but especially for true gourmets, our professionals have prepared an unusually tasty tour. Hurry up to find out Armenia and remember each of its regions according to its specific taste.
At the airport, you will be met by our manager with a sign “PARTNER TRAVEL ARMENIA” and escorted to the transport that will take you to the hotel. After checking into the hotel, we will go on a walking tour through the center of Yerevan, during which our professional guide will tell you about the main sights and historical facts of the city. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner at the restaurant, located in the territory of the carpet factory “Megerian Carpet” - the only one of its kind cozy and atmospheric restaurant. After a hearty Armenian dinner, the evening will continue with a walk to the Republic Square, where we can enjoy the unusual “singing fountains”.
After breakfast, we will go to the second largest and most important city in the country and its cultural capital - Gyumri. On the way, we will talk about the history of this wonderful city and about famous people from Gyumri. One of them is Frunzik Mkrtchyan ─ People's Artist of the USSR. Gyumri is a city of poets, artisans and art historians. Upon arrival, a visit to the city museum and a follow-up dinner are scheduled Dish of the day: Khashlama is made from lamb. In the process of cooking, the meat becomes tender, and the broth is saturated with the aromas of fresh summer vegetables and greens. Onions, tomatoes and sweet peppers are added in Khashlama. Having enjoyed Armenian dishes, we will continue the tour around the city. We will have many interesting stories about life, leisure and traditions of local residents, as well as the story about the sad events of 1988. Having a hearty dinner, we will head to the hotel.
After breakfast, we will go to Lori region. Visit the two monasteries included in the UNESCO heritage ─ Haghpat and Sanahin. We consider it to be wrong to try to describe them, so we won’t undertake to do it. The fact is that this beauty and the spirit of history, soaring in the territory of these monasteries, cannot be described in words. Still, our guide will be able to tell the story of the monasteries and show us many interesting things on the spot, will provide an opportunity to be there alone with yourself in silence. This day will be remembered not only by the greatness of the monasteries seen, but also by dishes made from eco products. All cooked dishes will use products that grow in nearby eco-farms. Our guests will remember the smell of these vegetables for a long time - at least for a few weeks. Some guests often want to repeat this day and plan to come here again the next time they visit Armenia, and we are happy to arrange such wonderful gastronomic adventures for them more than once.
“Little Switzerland” - this is how many guests call the city of Dilijan. There are legends going around among tourists who have visited here about its beauty. UWC Dilijan International School, a monument-spring for the film “Mimino” and many more interesting things await us in this town. Lunch will be held in a restaurant with beautiful panorama on the river flowing through the city and the nearby forest. Dish of the day: After lunch, we will go to a quiet and very beautiful place called “Parz lich”, named after the lake located nearby, which means “transparent lake”. This is a place where, apart from the birds singing and the rustling of the foliage, nothing more is heard. Services: obstacle course on trees, horseback riding, boat rental. Dinner is planned in one of the most beautiful restaurants in the midst of nature. We will spend the night in one of the hotels in Dilijan.
After breakfast, we will go to Lake Sevan. It is the largest freshwater lake in the region, referred to by locals as “our sea of Gegham”. We will walk along the shore with a guide and go up to the monastery of Sevanavank. Will have a little rest on the lakeshore and go for lunch to a nearby family restaurant, which will serve us Sevan trout and kebab from crayfish necks. For dinner, guests will be offered local Armenian wine. After lunch, we will go to Yerevan. Guests will hold the evening at their discretion. Accompanying guide will provide any advice on one or other thematic institutions during the tour.
This day's tour will be dedicated to exploring the capital. After a familiarization tour in Yerevan and a visit to the Museum of Armenian History, we will continue our program with a master class on cooking halva. Lunch will be held in a traditional restaurant with Armenian cuisine, serving delicious dolma and traditional shish kebabs.
